1st Lochwinnoch Boys Brigade

1st Lochwinnoch Boys’ Brigade is an organisation for school aged boys which meets on Tuesday evenings during school term in Calder Church Hall and the Annexe. We provide opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment.
Anchor Section, 6pm to 7pm for P1, P2 and P3
Junior Section, 7pm till 8.15pm for P4, P5 & P6
Company Section, 7.45pm till 9.30pm for P7, S1, S2 & S3
Senior Section, 7.45pm till 9.30pm for S4, S5 & S6

Bloco Winnoch

A creative and social outlet in the village teaching Brazilian samba and carnival music, comprising 25-30 percussionists, with performances at all village celebrations. Tutors Doug and Damo both have extensive experience playing and teaching Brazilian music, teaching is from scratch and our three annual intake points will be advertised on social media.

Clyde Windsurf & SUP Club

A fun and energetic seasonal windsurfing club running from April to September. Based near the loch pathway close to Castle Semple Visitor Centre, we cater for junior and adult windsurfers of all abilities. We are affiliated with RYA Scotland and our expert coaches can teach beginners or develop skilled sailors.

Dementia Friendly Lochwinnoch

A friendly local group aiming to reach people with dementia, their carers or family. In addition, we provide social interaction and support for older members of our community. Capoeira is an acrobatic martial art, dance and musical tradition from Brazil. It is 100% non-contact. Classes are fun, energetic and cultural. Tuition is by Fiaz from Glasgow Capoeira with 20+ years experience. The class is for 7-11 year olds.

A fun, comprehensive exercise class taking in aerobics, strength and balance, and flexibility to maintain health and wellbeing, Lochwinnoch Hearties has been running for thirty years and is affiliated with Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. Regular classes from 7-9pm Monday and Thursday, in the McKillop.
